The local beauty had been named as the winner of the Digital Media Challenge sub-contest and duly progressed through to the Top 13.
Ultimately, Miss Poland Karolina Bielawska was crowned Miss World 2021, whilst the first and second runners-up went to Shree Saini and Olivia Yace of the United States and the Ivory Coast, respectively.
Do Thi Ha, 21, from Thanh Hoa province was previously named the winner of the Miss Vietnam 2020 pageant, thereby being eligible to go on to represent the nation in the Miss World 2021 pageant.
During the global pageant she gained some notable achievements, including being among the Top 13 of the Miss Model segment, making the Top 27 of Miss Talent, finishing in the Top 16 of the Head to Head Challenge sub-contest, and being the winner of the Digital Media Challenge sub-contest.
The Miss World pageant was first held back in 1951 and has since become one of the largest and most prestigious beauty contests globally.
The 70th edition of the pageant has been organised in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Its grand final was originally scheduled for December 16, 2021, but it was postponed as many contestants and organisers were infected with COVID-19.
The grand final resumed on March 17, with only the Top 40 finalists returning to Puerto Rico for the competition.
