On the morning of October 18, during the closing session of the 10th VFF Congress, Hoang Cong Thuy, Vice Chairman of the VFF Central Committee, presented the results of the first meeting of the 10th Central Committee for the 2024-2029 term.

The 10th Central Committee of the VFF democratically elected 67 members to the Presidium, with five more positions to be filled during the term.

The meeting also democratically elected four members of the Presidium to the Standing Committee of the 10th Central Committee of the VFF:

- Do Van Chien, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the VFF Party Delegation, was re-elected as Chairman of the 10th Central Committee of the VFF.

- Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the VFF Party Delegation, was appointed as Vice Chairman and General Secretary of the 10th Central Committee of the VFF.

- Hoang Cong Thuy, member of the VFF Party Delegation, was appointed as Vice Chairman of the 10th Central Committee of the VFF.

- To Thi Bich Chau, member of the VFF Party Delegation, was appointed as Vice Chairman of the 10th Central Committee of the VFF.

Additionally, the meeting elected seven members as non-standing Vice Chairpersons:

- Ha Thi Khiet, former Secretary of the Party Central Committee, former Head of the Party Central Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission.

- Nguyen Thi Doan, former member of the Party Central Committee, former Vice President.

- Most Venerable Thich Thien Nhon, Vice President of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s Council of Certification, President of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha.

- Father Tran Xuan Manh, President of the Central Committee for Solidarity of Vietnamese Catholics.

- Nguyen Lan Huong, member of the Standing Committee of the Hanoi Party Committee, Chairperson of the Hanoi City VFF Committee.

- Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City VFF Committee.

- Do Hong Quan, President of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations.

In his address upon re-election, Do Van Chien, on behalf of the 10th VFF Central Committee for the 2024-2029 term, expressed gratitude for the high trust placed in him by the Congress. He emphasized that the Congress democratically elected 397 members to the Central Committee, 67 to the Presidium, and selected the Chairman, Vice Chairman - General Secretary, two specialized Vice Chairpersons, and seven non-specialized Vice Chairpersons.

He affirmed his commitment to dedicating himself fully to the responsibilities entrusted to him, leveraging his intellect, and prioritizing responsibility. He pledged to overcome all difficulties, strive for excellence, and implement the Congress's missions and goals flexibly, creatively, and effectively, fostering unity and consensus to achieve success.
