Authorities of Hue Central Hospital in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue has decided to suspend a doctor who was accused of assaulting a female intern after she refused his sexual advances.

These days, the information about the case in which Dr. Le Quang Huy Phuong, 37, from Hue Central Hospital recently attacked a young woman who is an intern at the hospital has gone viral on Facebook.

The 21-year-old woman was propositioned by Phuong, but she rejected him. As a result, the doctor beat her, causing her eye injuries. She is now staying at Hue Central Hospital for the treatment. Her face is heavily bruised.

Phuong was summoned to work with local police this morning, September 23. His Facebook account has also been locked.

Thousands of comments on Facebook denounced Phuong who was said to have made a similar proposal with a young woman at his private clinic. He also used insulting words with his staff.

The case is under investigation. Dtinews
