VietNamNet Bridge – Under new regulations approved by Deputy Health Minister Nguyen Thi Xuyen, full-time doctors will not be allowed to work more than 200 hours per year at health centres where they work part-time.

Foreign doctors in Viet Nam will also be required to have valid paperwork certifying their professional studies, training at hospitals, valid work certificates and proof of fluency in Vietnamese. Those who cannot speak the language must show that they have capable interpreters in the area of their medical speciality.
