According to Dong Tam’s officials, the coach, 34, arrived in Vietnam on the morning of Sunday, March 6. He immediately watched the game of Dong Tam in the afternoon.
McMenemy will replace the Brazilian coach Barbosa as the chief coach of Dong Tam club. It is said that Barbosa was fired on the morning of March 6.
After the game, the British coach and a coach assistant shook hands with Dong Tam’s manager Pham Phu Hoa (Dong Tam was defeated 1-2). However, he refused to answer any questions from the press. He said he was invited to watch the game, adding that it was interesting and sometimes tense.
