They received a warm welcome from football fans and representatives of the True Love – To The Future campaign upon their arrival in the southern city.
The campaign is being organised by Next Media, Ho Chi Minh City’s Youth Union, Borussia Dortmund, and delegates of German Industry and Commerce in Vietnam (AHK) in support of orphans and children affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Among the players coming to Vietnam are Julio Cesar, Dedé, Marcel Schmelzer, Norbert Dickel, Evanílson, Kevin Grosskreutz, Jorg Heinrich, Jan Koller, David Odonkor, Patrick Owomoyela, Karl-Heinz Riedle, Miroslav Stevic, Roman Weidenfeller, Ibrahim Tanko, Mladen Petic, and Mohamed Zidan.
As the host side, the Vietnam All Stars will include coach Le Huynh Duc, former national players Pham Van Quyen, Le Cong Vinh, and Le Quoc Vuong, as well as current players of the national team such as Que Ngoc Hai, Do Hung Dung, and Ngo Hoang Thinh.
The match between the Vietnam All Stars and the Dortmund Legends will take place at 7 p.m. on September 28 at the Thong Nhat Stadium.
