VietNamNet Bridge – A table tennis tournament, the Double Fish Cup, will begin at Cau Giay Gymnasium in Ha Noi today, Sept 1.

More than 100 athletes from 16 teams across the country will participate in the event lasting until Saturday, including top Vietnamese players such as Tran Tuan Quynh, Le Tien Dat, Nguyen Anh Tu and Nguyen Thi Phuong Linh.

The first placed team will win a cup and VND30 million (US$1,300). The runners-up will take VND20 million and VND10 million, respectively.

The event’s organisers will choose the best players to compete in the Double Fish table tennis tournament in China in November.
