VietNamNet Bridge – A delegation from the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) led by Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK) and Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the WPK Ri Su-yong arrived for a luncheon at Ngon Garden Restaurant in downtown Hanoi yesterday.

Hyon Song-wol, who is a renowned singer from the DPRK, was among the delegation.
The delegation was in Vietnam for the DPRK-US summit.
The delegation were impressed by the restaurant’s beautiful views and traditional dishes such as gỏi cuốn tôm thịt (rolled shrimp and pork salad), chè tổ yến chưng (birds’ nest soup) cá lăng nướng (grilled lăng fish), bánh xèo (sizzling crepe) and many others.

The guests said Ngon Garden was an ambassador for Vietnamese cuisine.
They said they would return to the restaurant next time.
Restaurant owner Pham Bich Hanh presented a painting titled Thành Cổ Loa (Cổ Loa Citadel) as a gift to the delegation.
“We are very honoured and happy to welcome the DPRK delegation to Ngon Garden,” Hanh said, adding that she hoped the delegation enjoyed the dishes.
