VietNamNet Bridge – Legends about 1000-year Hanoi were told through dragon dances at Hanoi’s My Dinh Stadium on October 2 evening.

The Panorama of Hanoi’s 1000th anniversary

The legends of dragon and Thang Long-Hanoi are told by fireworks, music and light
techniques.

Eighteen circus artists from the Vietnam Circus Federation and 19 artists from the
famous Comediants troupe from Spain joined the show.

The Thang Long golden dragon appeared on a yellow firework river. Chim Lac
(legendary bird in Vietnam’s history) appeared on a white firework waterfall.

The “Dragon Festival” script was based on the legend about a golden dragon that flew
up when King Ly Cong Uan’s boat landed at the Red River wharf plus legends of the
Mediterranean Sea.

The dragon and the bird join in wedlock, lay eggs which are hatched into fairies,
who teach people to pottery, planting rice and fishing.

Some circus items come between dragon dances.

The show closed when a balloon flew off.
