Diep Anh, 40, introduces 19 dragon paintings at her personal exhibition in Hanoi,
which opens today, January 3.
Dragon in Diep Anh’s artworks look different from traditional dragons of Vietnam.
Her dragons are very colorful.
In her eyes, dragons are very close to human. They are strong and natural. In Vietnam’s legends,
dragons are cream of fish. Of millions of carps, there is one that can leave for 100 years to become a dragon.
The painter worked in over six months to have these paintings.
