The Vietnam men’s national football team dropped three places to 127th in the latest FIFA/Coca-Cola world rankings released on June 4.
However, Vietnam still maintains its top position in Southeast Asia with 215 points.
Meanwhile, Thailand moved up 13 notches to 129th, ranking second in Southeast Asia, followed by the Philippines and Myanmar.
Iran is still the best ranking team in Asia at 41st position with 717 points, followed by Japan at 52ndwith 623 points, and the Republic of Korea at 58th with 587 points.
There was no change in the world’s top ten teams with Germany, Belgium and Argentina occupying the three top positions of the FIFA men’s ladder.
The world’s top 10 witnessed a progress from France, which jumped two notches to claim 9th position.
Madagascar was the best mover, jumping 37 places to 156th in the world rankings while the Maldives showed the worst progress, dropping 38 places.
