VietNamNet Bridge – The Drug Administration of Viet Nam (DAVN) has asked health examination and treatment units nationwide to carefully consider before prescribing Nizoral tablets with Ketoconnazole, especially for patients with a history of liver diseases.

The warning was made after the French Agency for the Safety of Medical Products announced the suspension of 200mg Nizoral tablets beginning July 11 because it was found to be more frequently harmful on patient livers when compared to other anti-fungal medicines.

In Viet Nam, Nizoral is available in various forms including tablets, creams and shampoos.
