Speaking at the conference, Senior Lieutenant Colonel Dao Xuan Truong – the team leader - reported: in the first 6 months of 2020, the Party Committee, the unit’s leaders and all members have united, actively pursued and performed the assigned tasks, upholding the responsibility, leadership, direction to comprehensively complete the following tasks: grasping the situation, promptly reporting, advising the Standing Party Committee, Head of the High Command of Coast Guard on the work of fighting and preventing drug-related crime in the northern water; strictly implementing the tasks of combat readiness, natural disaster prevention and control; actively participating in building an all-people-involved defense, helping people to prevent Covid-19 epidemic.

The Drug Crime Prevention and Control Task Force No. 1 has organized a conference reviewing the work of the Coast Guard in the first 6 months of 2020.

In the first half of 2020, the quality of training and regular construction had positive changes; the logistics, engineering and other working aspects met the requirements and tasks; the comprehensive quality, combat strength was significantly raised.

Specifically, the The Drug Crime Prevention and Control Task Force No. 1 organized four propaganda campaigns on drug prevention and fight for 990 people, fishermen on 855 boats and 200 students; distributed 2,100 leaflets, presented 100 life jackets and 160 national flags to fishermen.

With the assistance of its secret network, the task force presided over and cooperated closely with the functional forces to conduct investigation, detect and prosecute 32 criminal cases, with 38 subjects, and independently prosecuted 26 cases. Exhibits seized include 116g of heroin; 7.75 kg of synthetic drugs and 1,328 synthetic drug tablets with many related assets and evidences, ensuring the requirements of politics, profession, law, and absolute safety.
