He played a key role in Vietnam’s 2-1 win over the Philippines on December 2.

"His enterprise down the wing gave Philippines’ makeshift right-back Adam Tull all sorts of problems, and he also showed intelligence beyond his years with a perfectly-timed run in between two defenders to race through and score what proved to be the winner," the website said.

Fox also said his movement was brilliant throughout the match as he helped create space up top for the Golden Dragons.

The 22-year-old has scored two goals so far.

The rest of the top five are midfielder Syamer Kutty Abba of Malaysia, defender Mika Chunuonsee of Thailand, forward Phil Younghusband of the Philippines and coach Tan Cheng Hoe of Malaysia.
