VietNamNet Bridge – Cyclist Nguyen Thuy Dung won the third stage of the National Women's Open Cycling Tournament - An Giang Television Cup yesterday, July 9.

Dung of Binh Duong Environment, Water and Drainage finished first in the 101km stage from Cu Chi District of HCM City to Ben Tre City in a time of three hours 27seconds.

Her teammates Nguyen Phan Ngoc Trang and Nguyen Thi That from Vinh Binh Rice Mill were in second and third, respectively.

Thanks to this result, Dung temporarily took the yellow jersey after three stages with an overall time of 6:29.12, followed by That (6:29.19) and Nguyen Thi Thanh of Dong Thap Domesco Pharmacy (6:29.19).

Dong Thap Domesco Pharmacy retained their lead in the team competition with an overall time of 19:28.47.

Cyclists will pedal the 76km fourth stage from Ben Tre City to Vinh Long City today.

* Dac Lac snags children's football comp

Dac Lac became the champion of the National Children's Football Tournament after beating Hai Duong in the final match in Vinh Phuc Province on Sunday.

This is the third time Dac Lac has won the national tournament for children. They will represent Viet Nam to compete at the U13 Southeast Asian Football Championships in 2013.
