The Dutch Embassy in Vietnam will present the capital city of Hanoi with 4,625 pots of lily for decoration during its upcoming flower festival, Deputy Director of the Municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Khac Loi announced on Dec. 15.
Themed, “ Hanoi , meeting place of street and flower”, this year’s festival will be organised from Dec. 30, 2011 to Jan.2, 2012 with the assistance of several artists across the country.

They will organise special floral works for the festival with the aim of introducing spectators and visitors to the national characteristics and traditions as well as the culture of Vietnam .

The festival is scheduled to create a Vietnamese record for the largest flower picture.

On the occasion of Hanoi’s millennium celebrations last year, the Dutch government presented the capital city of Hanoi with 30,000 tulips for decorations during the event.
