VietNamNet Bridge – Pham Thi Duyen took home the silver medal at the 2011 Junior Wrestling World Championship, which concluded at the Polivalenta Sports Venue in Bucharest, Romania, over the weekend.
Duyen lost to Russia's Nadezda Fedorova by 13-5 in the final of the girls' 44kg category.
Earlier, Duyen managed to defeat Ganna Boguneko of the Ukraine by 7-2 in the first round before beating Erin Simone Golston of the US by 4-2 in the second round.
The silver medal helped Viet Nam rank eighth in the girls' freestyle, just behind Japan, China and Russia.
Over 1,000 wrestlers attended the event, organised by the Romanian Wrestling Federation and one of the most prestigious of the International Federation of Associated Wrestling.

The National Judo Championship is scheduled to kick off in Pleiku City next Monday.
Around 200 martial artists from 25 provinces and cities will compete in both combat and performance events.
The five-day event will conclude next Friday.
