AMES 2024, the first major event organized by the International Association of Econometrics in Vietnam, will feature 60 discussion sessions and 230 scientific reports. The conference is set to open on August 2 in Ho Chi Minh City, focusing on the crucial role of econometrics in Vietnam's rapid development.
This event is co-organized by the Association of Vietnamese Scientists and Experts Global (AVSE Global) in collaboration with Ho Chi Minh City University of Banking and the Leonard de Vinci Business School (EMLV) in France.
AMES 2024 serves as an international forum with a high level of expertise in econometrics and addresses issues in researching and applying econometrics to model the global economy, particularly in Asia.
According to AVSE Global, econometrics is crucial for a rapidly developing nation like Vietnam, aiding the government, regulatory bodies, and businesses in making decisions based on scientific calculations and practical data.
AMES 2024 will showcase selected in-depth research papers aimed at quantifying economic relationships and evaluating policy impacts on business operations, international trade, and financial markets. Additionally, macroeconomic topics such as health economics, education economics, and retirement will be discussed at the conference.
The conference is chaired by Professor Nobuhiro Kiyotaki from Princeton University and Professor Nguyen Duc Khuong, Executive Director of EMLV Business School, International Development Director of the De Vinci Higher Education Group, and President of AVSE Global.
Plenary session speakers include renowned scholars in economics, finance, and policy from leading universities worldwide, such as Professor Harrison Hong (Columbia University, USA), Professor Charles I. Jones (Stanford Graduate School of Business, USA), Professor Gilat Levy (London School of Economics and Political Science, UK), and Professor Mark W. Watson (Princeton University, USA).
AMES 2024 brings together over 250 experts and scientists from more than 40 countries. The conference will include 60 discussion sessions (3 main sessions and 57 parallel sessions) and 230 scientific reports on topics such as econometrics and its applications, macroeconomics, data science, economic environment, experimental and behavioral economics, and corporate finance.
AMES 2024 will take place from August 2 to August 4, marking the first major event organized by the International Association of Econometrics in Vietnam.
