The eighteen national treasures, representing the historical and cultural milestones of Vietnam are put on show for the first time in the National Museum of History in Hanoi.
Hoang Ha drum, unearthed in Hoang Ha hamlet, Phu Xuyen district, Hanoi in 1937 is one of the most beautiful drums of the Dong Son culture. The drum is decorated with variety of patterns, reflecting the daily life activities of Dong Son people as well as their brass casting skills in the very early stage of the nation. Bronze Dao Thinh jar is dated back to between 2,000-2,500 years ago in the Dong Son culture. It is recognised as a national treasure in 2012. The jar is the biggest size and most sophisticated decoration of its kind. The love-making couple on the jar reflects the Linga-yoni culture of old Vietnamese. Decorations on the Dao Thinh jar A bronze human-shaped lamp, dated between 2000-2500 years ago, is a unique-version item, representing the late Dong Son culture stage in the mix with Chinese Han culture. The wooden boat-shaped coffin Viet Khe, dated 2,000 - 2,500 years ago, contains 109 funeral offerings, including weapons, musical instruments, labour tools and other daily life device. It was recognised as a national treasure in 2013. Van Ban pagoda's bell, dated back 13th-14th century in the Tran Dynasty, is the oldest and biggest bell. The inscriptions in Han language on the bell brief land clearance work to build the pagoda. The bronze Mon Ha Sanh stamp, cast in 1377 under Long Khanh the fifth, Tran Dynasty, was found in 1962 in Huong Giang commune, Huong Khe district, Ha Tinh province. The stamp was used for the documents of the court, from Tran Phe De King (ruled from 1377 - 1388) The golden stamp, weighing 8.3 kg, cast in 1827 in the Minh Menh dynasty. This is the unique item, representing the power of the Nguyen Dynasty. A unique-version ceramic jar, dated back from the 15th century in pre-Le period, was found in a shipwreck in Cu Lao Cham, Hoi An ancient city, Quang Nam province. It is decorated with four swans in four different positions called Phi (flying), Minh (singing), Tuc (sleeping) and Thuc (looking for food). The unique-version Canh Thinh bronze drum cast in 1800 in Tay Son dynasty is decorated with the four mythological creatures, representing the peace, prosperity and order of the nation. Duong Kach menh (Revolutionary road) wrote by Nguyen Ai Quoc (President Ho Chi Minh) when he was in Quangzhou, China between 1925-1927. The book is the foundation for Vietnam's revolution.
