Cyclist Nguyen Thi That finished second after a Thai opponent in the women’s road bicycle race on September 29, snatching a silver medal for Vietnam at the ongoing Asian Games in the Republic of Korea.
The gold medal went to Jutatip Manneephan of Thailand, while the bronze medal was bagged by Hsiao Mei Yu of Taiwan.
Nguyen Phan Ngoc Trang, another Vietnamese cyclist, came in 8th in the race.
Nguyen Thi That’s silver medal has brought Vietnam’s total number of medals to 29 at the continent’s largest sporting event, including one gold, 8 silver, and 20 bronze, ranking 18th on the medal tally.
