Historical relic sites attractive to tourists

To celebrate the 74th year of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2), many visitors visited historical relic sites as a way to pay tribute to their predecessors.

The National Special Relic Site of Tan Trao in Tuyen Quang province welcomed a surge of tourists in August, up to 6,000 arrivals a day.

Dien Bien Phu Victory museum is also a tourist magnet in Dien Bien province. With over 1,000 war keepsakes being displayed, visitors to the museum may feel like living in the historical victory of Vietnam in 1954.

Other relic sites in the province, including A1 Hill, Dien Bien Phu Victory monument, also draw flocks of tourists.

Historical tourism has become a tourism magnet for many localities. In order to sustainably boost the tourism product, the localities have been paying heed to develop infrastructure as well as preserving and restoring local historical relic sites.-VNA
