Summer is always the peak travel season. However, many attractive promotions by airlines, such as discounted airfares, have been providing frequent holidaymakers opportunities to travel all year round.

Having just returned from her summer trip to Taiwan, Thu Minh, a freelancer, is preparing for her next trip to Myanmar in October.

“My friends are surprised when I tell them about my second trip just a few months after the first, because they know I always complain about the shortage of money,’’ Minh said with a smile.

“But all my trips are very economical as I plan them well in advance and hunt for cheap air tickets,” she said.

Minh is not the only passenger who is getting to travel more.

Le Ngoc, a shop owner in Ha Noi, said he was going to Thailand with his family next month, after booking discounted Vietjet tickets.

“Airfares are always the first thing I care about when planning a holiday, because a significant amount of money will have to be set aside for purchasing air tickets for my whole family. But discounted tickets being offered by airlines such as Vietjet help me out,” Ngoc said, adding that the forthcoming trip would be his family’s second holiday this year.

Representatives of some travel agents said beside summer travel, people can now choose to travel all year round as airlines such as Vietjet were giving away innumerable discounted tickets.

The airline is giving massive discounts on all domestic and international flights, such as to Bangkok, Singapore, Taipei and Seoul, as well as Yangon (Myanmar), enabling families and groups of friends to have more exciting holidays, besides traditional vacations.

“Off-season travel is becoming a trend among young vacationers who have been tirelessly hunting for Vietjet’s attractive airfares to fly to a wide range of domestic and international destinations,” the director of a HCM City-based travel agency said.

“What’s better than having a comfortable and relaxed holiday at affordable prices?

"With many attractive promotions, Vietjet is not only encouraging new travel habits and different experiences for passengers, but also contributing to creating a vibrant tourism market,” he said.

Half of million opportunities to get free flights

As a friendly carrier, Vietjet always creates new trends, besides bringing more opportunities for passengers to fly at lower costs. Its “Enjoy your summer - It’s time to Vietjet” promotion is winning over many passengers.

Under the promotion, which is running from July 22 to 29, more than 500,000 tickets from just VND0 are available on all Vietjet domestic and international flights.

The tickets are valid for travel from September 7 to December 31, 2015, with the exception of the new routes to Pleiku and Yangon, which will be launched October 1 and 2, 2015, respectively.

"With this promotion, we hope to bring travellers thousands of flying opportunities across Viet Nam and to other incredible international destinations, such as Myanmar, known as the Land of Golden Pagodas, and South Korea, famous for its incredible cuisine and culture," Vietjet's Director of Business Development Desmond Lin said.
