According to the Hanoi Employment Service Center, the labor market witnessed a strong recovery in November with 40,179 jobs offered.
Enterprises mostly sought candidates with higher education level (43.53 percent). They also recruited unskilled workers and technical workers without professional certificates.
Regarding wages, the offered pay of VND5-10 million a month accounted for the largest proportion, while the pay of VND10-20 million accounted for 15.55 percent.
The biggest employers were enterprises in the fields of wholesale/retail, industry and construction, and real estate firms. They want to scale up production and business as the busiest sale season of the year is nearing.
Meanwhile, the real estate market has become more bustling with positive news from projects.
A high number of part-time jobs was offered in November, especially by retailers. As many as 22,065 individuals registered to seek jobs.
A survey on 9.095 job seekers found that the most wanted wage was VND5-10 million (65.15 percent) and VND10-20 million (26.87 percent).
Job seekers were mostly those at the age of 35 or higher (47.45 percent), while only 7.82 percent were at the age of 15-24. A high proportion of job seekers were unskilled and untrained workers who wanted jobs of factory workers and salespeople.
In November, there were 40,179 positions available, and the figure is predicted to increase.
According to the Hanoi Employment Service Center, growth expectations are shifting from modest to more positive. International organizations have also appreciated the robust growth of Vietnam's economy.
The national economy has recovered rapidly thanks to the three pillars – export, consumption and investment, which has created momentum for the recovery of the labor market.
The center has named some business fields which have high demand for workers in the time to come, including wholesale/retail (up 4.5 percent compared to the previous month), manufacturing and processing industries, finance and banking, and insurance.
Meanwhile, some other sectors have seen demand decrease, including science and technology, and administration and support services.
In October, a survey on 11,000 dossiers of job seekers, 15 percent of workers in Hanoi were reported as seeking jobs with pay of VND10-20 million a month. Meanwhile, the most common pay offered by enterprises was just VND5-10 million, accounting for 57.71 percent.
An employer said the national economy has recovered slowly after Covid-19, which makes it impossible for many enterprises to offer high wages to workers.
