The HCM City People’s Committee has requested to suspend all crowd events in unnecessary cases from December 3. In cases where such events still need to be held, the organisers and participants are required to conform to Covid-19 prevention regulations.

Cinemas in HCM City have also announced a halt to the film screening. For instance, the screening of the cartoon Doraemon: Nobita and the New Dinosaurs scheduled on December 6 at SC VivoCity Cinema will be suspended.

After four Covid-19 cases were detected in HCM City during November 28 - December 2, many schools have temporarily closed and allowed students to take online lessons. Hundreds of thousands of students at all levels along with teachers and school staff members have to stop going to school.
