The event is co-organised by UNICEF Vietnam, Vietnam Disaster Management Authority and the National Young Pioneer Council.
The contest is eligible for Vietnamese children aged from 10 to 15 years old, who are required to create a Superhero character with an Earth rescue adventure in their submissions.
The entries should be sent to the Communication Section, UNICEF Vietnam, 304 Kim Ma Street, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi or sent via email email@example.com before August 28, 2019.
The best submissions will win prizes and will have the chance to bring their superhero to life in a comic-book or in a video animation.
An announcement of contest results and awards ceremony will be held in October, during which the first prize winner will receive VND15 million. Two second, three third and four consolation prizes worth VND41 million in total will also be presented on the occasion.
Speaking at the launch, music composer and singer Le Cat Trong Ly, who will accompany contestants in the whole contest, hailed the the contest is an interesting activity as it allows children to learn, play and promote their creative ideas at the same time.
She called on participants to wake up the sleeping superhero inside them through their creative drawings.
