Goalkeeper Canh Tiep came in at 23rd on the list.

GOAL noted that the promising shot stopper had put in a number of impressive performances during the national Under-17 tournament held back in 2020, shining during the semi-final win on penalties over PVF to help his team lift the trophy.

“Canh Tiep was subsequently awarded the Goalkeeper of the Tournament award and has since made the step up to SLNA's U-19 squad, where the No.1 continues to make waves with his fine displays between the sticks,” according to the football publication.

Nguyen Hoang came in at 13th on GOAL’s top 25 list. They note that the striker has long stood out at youth level due to his impressive physical stature, often having the ability to shrug off smaller opponents with his sheer brute force and power.

“The attacker can play as a traditional target man, who is capable of playing with his back to goal to set up his team-mates, but also has an eye for goal,” GOAL added.

Furthermore, local player Van Bach came in at 11th position, with GOAL stating that he was relatively known among football fans until he rose to prominence during the 2020 national U-17 tournament after putting in a number of breathtaking performances.

“He was deservedly voted Player of the Tournament, dazzling both fans and opponents with his sublime skills, pace and impressive physique, quickly becoming one of the new hopes of the nation,” according to the article.

Most notably, Phi Hoang came in at 9th, the highest ranked Vietnamese players on the list.

According to GOAL, the left-back has continued to develop throughout the year, quickly becoming an important member of Da Nang FC’s first team and regularly featuring in the opening stages of their V.League 1 campaign.

Moreover, the youngster, who has been called up for Vietnam's U-22 squad, possesses many attributes like pace, power, an eye for space, and is strong both going forward and defensively. This therefore makes him an ideal modern left-back suitable to Da Nang's counterattacking style of play.
