V-League 2021 started in January, then halted for more than a month due to the outbreak of Covid-19 and returned in mid-March. After 7 rounds, Hoang Anh Gia Lai (HAGL) FC currently too' the lead with 16 points, 5 winning, 1 draw and only 1 loss.
The team scored the highest number of goals out of 14 V-League teams, 12 goals, and is one of the two teams with the least number of goals conceded (3).
With these impressive achievements, it is not a surprise that the team won the best club title in January and March.
The success of HAGL FF is greatly contributed to its Thai coach Kiatisuk. The former player of the Thai national squad has helped transform the team and it is aiming for the championship this season. Coach Kiatisuk was also awarded the best coach title in January and March.
The team’s striker Van Toan, with four goals, took the title of best player in January and March.
The remaining award - the best goal in January and March - went to Song Lam Nghe An FC’s Phan Van Duc, with a world-class goal scored in the match between SHB Da Nang and Song Lam Nghe An FC in the 5th round of the V-League, on March 23 (watch the video below).
