Binh Duong FC or Hanoi FC, the remaining Vietnamese sides in the AFC Cup, will take on Altyn Asyr FC of Turkmenistan in the AFC Cup Inter-zone play-off semi-finals depending on who progresses.

The draw was carried out by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) on July 2. Beforehand however, the two Vietnamese representatives Binh Duong FC and Hanoi FC will face each other in the AFC Cup’s ASEAN Zonal final.
The first-leg of the final will be held at the Go Dau stadium in Binh Duong province on July 31 with the second-leg of the final taking place at the Hang Day stadium in Hanoi on August 7.
The winner of the AFC Cup’s ASEAN Zonal final will receive a cash prize totaling US$100,000 and progress to the Inter-zone play-off semi-finals where they will face Altyn Asyr FC of Turkmenistan.
The first-leg of the Inter-zone play-off semi-finals is scheduled to take place on either August 20 or 21 in Vietnam, whilst the second-leg match will take place the following week in Turkmenistan.
Domestically, the remaining rounds of the V-League 2019 have been cancelled in order to give Vietnamese representatives Binh Duong FC and Hanoi FC ample time to prepare for their AFC Cup matches.
Becamex Binh Duong FC received a reward of VND300 million from the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) after reaching the final of the AFC Cup ASEAN Zone.
