The event is organised by OTV Communication JSC and Otofun Forum.

The competition, the largest of its kind in Vietnam, will attract more than 160 racers from 80 teams to show off their skills in 600 performances, according to organisers. They will compete in four categories – pick-up trucks, SUVs, advance and open.

This year, the race will feature a night-time adventure challenge while organisers will apply chip timing and scoring system to produce more accurate results.

Nguyen Duc Hoang, head of the organising board, said it wants to host a safe, transparent, fair and fun race and to make it a festival for those who love cars and sport.

The event aims to select talents to compete in international events and encourage people to take part in social activities, he added.

Prizes are worth up to 600 million VND (25,800 USD) in total.
