Vietnam national under-22 football team

The fixture will be the third friendly that the Vietnam U22 squad has played this year. The team has also played friendly matches against Myanmar and China, winning both matches 2-0.

The Vietnamese team are due to gather for a training camp on September 23 in preparation for the upcoming SEA Games 30.

The team are targeting a gold medal finish at the tournament.

Leading the U22 team will be Kim Han-yoon, the assistant of Park Hang-seo. Kim Han-yoon was appointed as the team’s manager due to Park Hang-seo’s commitments with the senior Vietnamese national team who are scheduled to play in several World Cup qualifiers in the coming months. VOV
