A firm in Hanoi has promised to present the Vietnam national football team a VND500 million (USD21,739) bonus if they beat Malaysia in the forthcoming World Cup qualifier.
Cong Phuong to attend the forthcoming World Cup qualifier against Malaysia
Coach Park Hang Seo called up Nguyen Cong Phuong and Doan Van Hau, who are playing for European clubs for the squad.
Phuong returned to Hanoi this morning as planned, while Hau is expected to land at Noi Bai International Airport tomorrow morning, October 8.
Coach Park Hang Seo shortlisted 25 players for the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers ties against Malaysia and Indonesia on October 10 and October 15 respectively.
The match against Malaysia is scheduled at My Dinh National Stadium in Hanoi with the clash against Indonesia to be organised at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium in Jakarta.
According to Vietnam Football Federation, Danko Group in Hanoi will offer the Vietnamese football team a VND500-million bonus if they defeat Malaysia. The bonus will be VND300 million for a draw and VND200 million even if Vietnam lose.
The Group G fixture between Indonesia and Vietnam in the second round of the 2022 World Cup Asian qualifiers will be hosted at Kapten I Wayan Dipta Stadium in Bali instead of at Jakarta’s Gelora Bung Karno Stadium as originally scheduled.
