VietNamNet Bridge – Six ambassadors from Argentina, Austria, Italy, Pakistan, Spain and Venezuela will show off their cooking skills during a charity contest on Saturday in Ha Noi.
During the contest, which will take place at the Italian restaurant Mediterraneo, each ambassador will prepare a main course speciality from their country to vie for the title of Top Chef.
The judging panel will include executive chefs from around Ha Noi's hotels.
The tickets for the event can be purchased at Mediterraneo, 23 Nha Tho Street. Guests will participate in a lottery, with the first prize being a trip to Italy.
The proceeds from the event will be donated to the Little Tigers, a non-profit organisation that supports an orphanage in Chuc Son in suburban Ha Noi's Chuong My District.
The first Ambassador Cooking Contest was held last year with German Ambassador Rolf Schulze winning the competition.
* French hospitality takes the stage
The world-acclaimed French hospitality sector will take the stage when two French contemporary artists perform in Ha Noi this week.
Do Disturb! will be performed at the Sofitel Metropole Ha Noi.
The choreographers, 33-year-old Emmanuelle Becquemin and 34-year-old Stephanie Sagot, will use a cocktail party as the backdrop for their story.
The artists will use a myriad of performance devices throughout the play, which seeks to provide an insight into the process of consumption. The duo has exhibited their work in Asia, South America and Europe.
Before the performance in Ha Noi, the duo will perform in Sofitel hotels in Beijing, Manila and Phnom Penh.
The Ha Noi performance will start at 7pm on Friday and Saturday. Tickets cost US$35 and are available at the hotel, 15 Ngo Quyen Street.
