Like every year, this year's Christmas concert of the Goethe Institute will continue to bring the Christmas atmosphere to Hanoi.
After an eventful year with an abundant cultural program, 2012 will close with the annual Christmas Concert at the Goethe Institute at 7pm on December 7. Hanoi audiences will be lost in a cozy, romantic space with musical works by J. S. Bach, Mozart and other composers.
Again, the International Choir and the young musicians from Hanoi will perform under the baton of German conductor Graham Sutcliffe. The atmosphere of the music party will be even more exciting with Christmas cakes and hot wine. The orchestra will play the world famous Christmas songs for the audience to sing. In particular, this program will be free admission.
After this concert, on the evening of December 26, Hanoi audiences will be attending a Christmas concert held at the French Cultural Centre (L'Espace). L'Espace will bring about a Christmas concert with various genres of music, from barroco to classical, and modern. The musical items will be abundant, from "Romance Sans Parole" by Mendelssohn to "Passacaglia" by G. Haendel, from "Phantasiestucke" Op.88 Duet & Finale by Schumann to “Horse Steps on Desert” by Vietnamese composer Do Hoang Linh.
