An exhibition of folk Vietnamese paintings opened in the central city of Da Nang on February 1 with a view to honouring cultural and spiritual values of Vietnamese ethnic groups.

On display are 62 paintings chosen by the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum, including those from traditional painting villages such as Dong Ho in the northern province of Bac Ninh, Hang Trong and Kim Hoang in Hanoi and Vu Di in the northern province of Vinh Phuc and Doc Loi in the central province of Nghe An. 

A space, named “Folk paintings and Tet”, will afford visitors a chance to explore folk paintings and Dong Ho printing art. 

The event, co-hosted by the Da Nang Fine Arts Museum and the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum, will last till February 25.-VNA
