The "Vietnamese Cultural Heritage 2018" exhibition will take place in Hanoi from November 23 to 25, as one of the cultural events to honour and promote the values of national cultural heritages of various regions, especially the Vietnamese heritages that have been recognised by UNESCO.

Organised by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the exhibition will be held at the Vietnamese Culture and Arts Exhibition Center, No.2 Hoa Lu Street, Hai Ba Trung District, Hanoi.

A series of activities, including an exhibition themed “Journey of cultural heritage of Vietnam", an exhibition space of the provinces and cities with the theme "cultural heritage of regions", a display of "ao dai Vietnam", and an exhibition area entitled "Honouring artisans", promising to attract domestic and foreign tourists.

Under the framework of the exhibition, there will be traditional art performances, an exchange programme for students with the theme "Youth with national cultural heritage", a painting contest "Children with Vietnamese Cultural Heritage", and a workshop on "Heritage and cultural heritage issues of Hanoi and neighboring provinces", showcasing tourism and local agricultural products.

The exhibition is considered as an event to evoke patriotism, pride and responsibility among Vietnamese people, especially the younger generations. It seeks to contribute to building Vietnamese culture and deepening the imprints of national identity.

Localities are expected to take advantage of this event to exchange experiences in the management, preservation and promotion of cultural heritage values.
