From Saigon, the travelers caught a train at 6 a.m. to the Thap Cham train station in Ninh Thuan Province. They got there at 12 p.m.
They began their tour by indulging in local specialties in the province’s Phan Rang City. The two travelers tasted popular local dishes such as banh canh cha ca (fish paste rice noodle soup), banh xeo (Vietnamese pancake) and bun rieu (Vietnamese crab noodle soup), to name but a few.
On the first day, they visited Nam Cuong Sand Dune, which is eight kilometers from Phan Rang City. The 700-hectare sand dune is a desert sub-region of Ninh Thuan as well as the central coastal region. It is an ideal spot for photo sessions. After the Nam Cuong Sand Dune, they visited the Tanyoli Mui Dinh tourist site in Thuan Nam District, which offered trekking and camping services.
They visited Vinh Hy Bay on the second day. Around 40 kilometers from Phan Rang, Vinh Hy Bay is surrounded by the blue sea, white sand and majestic mountains. Its untapped beauty enchants all nature lovers.
In the south of Vinh Hy Bay is Hang Rai (Otter Cave) Beach. Aside from breathtaking landscapes, Ninh Thuan also offers the best location to watch the sunset.
Those who want to enjoy a panoramic view of Phan Rang City can visit Trung Son Co Tu Pagoda at the peak of the Da Chong Mountain, 60 meters above sea level. From the pagoda, visitors can see Binh Son Beach, Ninh Chu Beach, Ninh Chu Bridge, Vua Lagoon and Nai Market—all highlights of the central coast city.
Ninh Thuan Province is home to culture and the history of the Champa ethnic people. Among them is the Po Klong Garai Tower. The two travelers visited the tower on the third day. The Po Klong Garai Tower complex comprises three towers featuring special Champa-style architecture. In the area around the tower complex, visitors can find culturally distinct items, such as ceramic products and handmade brocade scarves.
The last location on the two travelers’ itinerary on the third day was the Dam Nai wind farm in Lang Me Village, Thuan Bac District, where visitors can marvel at the giant wind turbines. They traveled about 20 kilometers on National Highway 1A to reach a path covered by blue stones leading to the wind farm. It is also a great place to take photos.
The two travelers ended their last day in Ninh Thuan Province by enjoying a bowl of fish paste noodle soup in a local eatery in Phan Rang City.
