Pirates Islands is another name for the Ha Tien archipelago in Tien Hai Commune, Ha Tien City, Kien Giang Province. The island is located about 350 kilometers from HCM City, 28 kilometers from the coast of Ha Tien, and 40 kilometers from Phu Quoc Island.

To get to Pirate Islands, tourists can take a coach from HCM City to Ha Tien, then travel to the island by boat or speedboat at Ha Tien Wharf. It takes tourists some 90 minutes to get to the island, with boat ticket prices at VND40,000. However, a speedboat only takes 30 minutes to the island, priced at VND100,000 per ticket.

Pirate Islands is in the development area of Ha Tien – Rach Gia and the Gulf of Thailand. Due to its important trade route, many centuries ago, the archipelago was an ideal place for pirates to hide, ambush and attack merchant ships.

The island, still relatively quiet with a small population, is ideal for tourists who love to discover nature.

With its pristine and poetic beauty, majestic mountains and forests and blue sea with white sandy beaches, Pirate Islands has plenty on offer for tourists. They can swim, enjoy sea activities, or rent a pair of goggles to watch corals near the shore. They can also enjoy picnics or bring their own tents and camp on the beach.

Pirate Islands is famous for its fresh seafood. However, there are no restaurants or eateries serving tourists on the island. Instead, the locals cook the most delicious seafood, but the experience must be booked in advance.

Tourists can also visit the beach early in the morning, choose to buy their favorite seafood or catch their own seafood and ask the locals to cook it.

Although Pirate Islands is beautiful all year round, the best time to travel there is the dry season from November to April. It is advisable to check weather updates before visiting the island to avoid storms.
