VietNamNet Bridge – The accident happened on the evening of August 21 on Dinh Tien Hoang Road, Binh Thanh District, HCM City.

The victim is a 44-year-old woman, Do Thi Tuyet Hanh, from southern province of Dong Thap.

According to police, Hanh was crossing the road at 7pm of August 21 when a dry branch from a tree fell down on her head, from over 10m height.

The woman fell to the ground unconscious. She was brought to a hospital but doctors could not save her life.

Doctors said Hanh’s skull was broken.

The victim ran a clothing shop which is located in front of the site where the accident happened.

On August 21, Hanh crossed the road to a bus stop to take a bus home. The fatal accident occurred when the woman was only several meters from the bus station.
