On January 3, the Road Traffic Police Team No. 2 under the Quang Ninh Provincial Police Department confirmed that they had taken disciplinary action against individuals involved in cooking on a railway section in Tuan Chau Ward.

At around 5:30 p.m. on January 2, Mr. N.V.Y. (born 1962) and Mrs. D.T.T. (born 1966), both residents of Group 3, Dai Dan Area, Tuan Chau Ward, were found standing and sitting on the tracks while preparing food. The violation occurred at kilometer marker 96+637 on the Kep – Ha Long national railway line, within the aforementioned residential area.

The entire incident was recorded and posted on TikTok by their daughter, Ms. N.T.T. (born 1988), a resident of Ngoc Ha Ward, Hanoi.

Upon being alerted, Traffic Police Team No. 2 coordinated with local authorities in Tuan Chau to verify the information and summon the individuals involved for questioning.

At the station, after receiving an explanation of the law and the safety risks, all three individuals acknowledged their wrongdoing and pledged not to repeat the behavior.

The traffic police team documented the incident, and Mr. Y., Mrs. T., and Ms. T. signed written commitments promising not to commit the offense again. Mr. Y. and Mrs. T. were fined 800,000 VND (approx. 33 USD) for their violation, and authorities are continuing to review evidence to pursue further appropriate action under the law.
