VietNamNet Bridge – Hong Kong movie stars Julian Cheung and Sandra Ng visited Vietnam from February 22-25 as the Ambassadors of ORBIS Kids Sight.

 


During their time in Vietnam, the two actors visited schools and hospitals in Hanoi and the northern province of Phu Tho and the ORBIS Vietnam office.

 

Sandra Ng has been an ambassador for ORBIS for over three years while Julian Cheung has sponsored this organization for several years.

 

They came to Vietnam to film the lives of Vietnamese children to make a documentary for screening in Hong Kong.

 

They spent two days in Phu Tho Province, where they visited the family of a blind girl and a school in Cam Khe district and the Phu Tho Center for Prevention of Social Diseases. They witnessed an eye operation for a kid at the center.

 

In Hanoi, the two Hong Kong movie stars paid a visit to the Central Eye Hospital and partners of ORBIS. They returned to Hong Kong on February 26.

 

Sandra Ng, 45, is very familiar to Vietnamese audiences through many TV series. Julian Cheung, 39, is a singer and an actor who has won many prizes in Hong Kong.

 

ORBIS is a non-profit humanitarian organization devoted to blindness prevention in developing countries.
