VietNamNet Bridge – Pianist Bich Tra will perform with a young classic voice
– Nguyen Hai Dang – in the “Piano & Voice” concert on August 5, at the HCM City

Joining the show with Bich Tra will be male baritone Nguyen Hai Dang, 24. Dang emerged from a singing competition for students in HCM City. Graduating from the HCM City Conservatory of Music’s intermedia course, Dang is practicing singing technique to prepare for classic and semi-classing projects in the future.
The two artists will perform famous works by Schubert, Schumann, Joachim Raff and Frederic Chopin.
The concert is held at 112 Nguyen Du Street, District 1. Tickets are available at the conservatory, and MFC Music Company, 31A Nguyen Dinh Chieu, District 1, or by contacting Ms Tram on 0935833179 or Mr Duc 0903973077 for free delivery. Tickets are between VND300,000 and VND500,000 and VND90,000 for students only. After the show there will be a cocktail party for the audience to meet artists.
Also at 2 p.m. next Sunday, July 31, Tra will have a talk with music lovers at Ca phe Thu Bay, 37 Nguyen Dinh Chieu, District 1.
One of Vietnam’s most promising pianists, Tra, 38, graduated from the Tchaikovsky Moscow Conservatory in 1997. In 1999, she completed an advanced performance course at the Royal Academy of Music in London and continued her master’s degree at the College of Music and Media there. She has performed in Europe, working with prestigious studios and producers such as Toccata Classics, Radio Four Hong Kong, Sterling CDs and Ars Produktion.
Last March, the record of “Suite” by Joachim Raff performed by Tra and the Sweden Symphony Orchestra of Norrlands Opera was selected to be the album of the week by the UK’s The Independent Newspaper.
Tra is the first Vietnamese pianist to work in contract with Hong Kong based Naxos.
