Fans stayed up all night to secure tickets for the second leg of the 2024 ASEAN Cup (AFF Cup) semifinal between Vietnam and Singapore, scheduled for the evening of December 29. Tickets were sold out just three hours after sales began.

Starting on the afternoon of December 26, hundreds of fans lined up outside the Phu Tho Province Sports Arena. Many camped overnight in hopes of securing tickets to the highly anticipated match.

By 6 a.m. on December 27, thousands had gathered at the ticketing area. In response to the massive turnout, the Phu Tho Provincial Sports Complex Management Center reinforced its staff and set up additional mobile barriers to maintain order.

Security forces established a single-entry pathway from the main gate to the ticketing area. Despite the large crowd, there were no reports of jostling, breaches of barriers, or other safety incidents.

At 8 a.m., the ticket booth inside the arena officially opened. Thousands waited in orderly lines, each hoping to secure a ticket. Per regulations, each fan was allowed to purchase a maximum of two tickets. Ticket prices for the Vietnam vs. Singapore match at Viet Tri Stadium were set at three tiers: 300,000 VND, 500,000 VND, and 600,000 VND (approximately $12.30, $20.50, and $24.60).

By 11 a.m., after just three hours of sales, the organizing committee announced that all tickets had been sold out.
