VietNamNet Bridge – After concerts in Haiphong, Hanoi, Hue and Danang, RockStorm 2012 organized by MobiFone comes to HCMC at 6 p.m. on January 26 at the Military Zone 7 Stadium in Phu Nhuan District with 10,000 fans expected to attend.

RockStorm stops off at Dong Nai Province on Wednesday, Jan 23, with its final destination Can Tho City on January 31.

The concert consists of popular rock bands such as Ngu Cung, Microwave, Buc Tuong, UnlimiteD, KOP, Black Infinity, OringChains and 18+ Band.

At the event announcement at the New World Hotel Saigon in District 1, the organizer unveiled that from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday fans are welcome to the stadium to enjoy performances by up-and-coming rock bands and browse for food and drinks and souvenirs at numerous stalls. Then the show will officially kick off and is expected to wrap up at 10:30 p.m. The organizing committee will announce the show running-order so audiences don’t miss their favorite bands.

The show will be directed by musician Quoc Trung with Japanese sound expert Masaaki Azuma, Doan Chi Nghia as band monitor and lighting designer Julian Hodgson.

Tickets are priced at just VND30,000 with all proceeds being donated to a fund for poor students under the Central Youth Union and Operation Smile. Total proceeds from the previous shows is VND1.14 billion.
