VietNamNet Bridge – Since the fourth day of the lunar New Year (February 6), farmers in central Vietnam have been taking their buffaloes to the field, taking advantage of the warm weather.

Nguyen Van Nam in Thanh Nam commune, Thanh Chuong district, Nghe An province worked
on the field on the third day of the lunar New Year. “I have to work at Tet holiday to
keep up with the season,” Nam said.

It was very cold before Tet so farmers could sow the new crop. The weather got warmer at Tet.

In the recent cold spell, over 10,000 hectares of rice in Nghe An province died.
Farmers have to quickly sow again.

In Thanh Chuong district, Thai ethnic people finished their Tet holiday early to go to the field.
