Tan Loc, Ngoc Anh and Ngoc Khai join dance troupe Arabesque to present a contemporary dance Suong Som (Early Dew) at 8 p.m. at HCMC Opera House on July 25 and 26.

The Arabesque dance troupe

Suong Som was first performed at the international contemporary dance festival in South Korea last year. Director Loc later invited choreographers Anh and Khai to jointly re-arrange the work to bring it to city audiences.

The dance features the plain landscape of the countryside with diligent farmers working hard from early in the morning until late at night. They are mothers, sisters, fathers and brothers working hard on early market-days but their images are falling into oblivion given the hurried rhythms of modern life.

The event also sees the participation of Meritorious Artist To Nhu and other artists of Arabesque including Huu Thuan and Hai Anh, two artists who won the silver prize at the international contemporary dance contest in South Korea this year.

The opera house is located at 7 Lam Son Square in District 1.
