The ceramic enterprise of Mr. Bui Xuan Hai is located on the road from Hai Phong city to Do Son town. This is also a training center of over 400 people of different ages, from different regions. Hai said for sometimes, the number of workers and trainees reached 4,000.

At the workshop, not only artists but also students have income from their products. After basic training, the best trainees will switch to draw by liquid gold.

A gold painted plate looks simple but it goes through a cycle of 12 steps, which last in nearly two months. For special products, the time can be up to half a year.

This vase has a height of 3 m. To complete this work, five artists had to constantly work on the painting for several days.

They concentrate to ensure the best outline. Sometimes they have to use small pens with the pen point equivalent to one fourth of hair.

This product is being finalized by an artist nicknamed "hobbits," after more than two months of drawing. He said when water is poured into the vase, the gold fish look like floating and swimming on the water.

Looking at the two artists, few know that they used to be farmers. They said now they are able to draw easily like growing rice seedlings.

There is no standard curriculum, the training method of Mr. Hai is let’s the artists promote creative imagination. Therefore, the dragons are different through the perception of each artist.

Even on the same product, two dragons are also different from each other. This creates unique products on the market.

More than 1,000 gold-painted ceramic products are on display in the showroom at Sofitel Plaza Hanoi. The price ranges from a few million to a few hundreds and even a billion dong.
