The explosion occurred around 11:00 a.m. on November 29. Residents along Nguyen Thi Bua Street reported hearing an extremely loud bang that shook homes and shattered the stillness of the day.

Surveillance camera footage from nearby homes showed the blast was so forceful that furniture and household items in residences dozens of meters away were violently rattled.

Panic quickly spread as locals discovered that a house had been heavily damaged. Authorities were alerted immediately.

By 3:30 p.m., Nhuan Duc Commune Police, in coordination with Ho Chi Minh City’s specialized investigative units, had cordoned off the area and were actively examining the scene.

Access to the house and a section of Nguyen Thi Bua Street has been restricted, with only authorized personnel allowed entry while the investigation is underway.

A local official confirmed that the explosion resulted in one fatality. The victim was a man, though his identity has not yet been publicly released.
