A video was posted on the internet after the ceremony, attracting attention from the public because of the presence of the small girl among the diploma recipients.

Two years ago, Thuan and his wife welcomed their first child, a baby girl. The young man faced many challenges as he had to study while taking care of the child. The challenges were so great that he once thought of giving up. 

However, with the encouragement of his wife, Thuan overcame all difficulties and graduated from school on schedule.

Thuan brought his daughter to the school graduation ceremony. The image of father and daughter both receiving the diploma touched the audience.

Asked why he decided to study medicine, Thuan said his sister works as a nurse at the commune’s medical center, and during the Covid-19 pandemic, when seeing her working hard, he decided to become a physician.

He revealed that in the past, he followed another major and took a job in that field. However, as the pandemic broke out, he had to resign and join the contingent of medical workers serving during the pandemic. He then decided to study medicine.

Thuan said in the pandemic conditions, he had to study online and together with his wife take care of the child. The great efforts of the family were rewarded with his diploma with Distinction.

Thuan said his wife and daughter helped him overcome difficulties. His wife, Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc, 20, said she always supports him to fulfill his dreams.

In free time, Thuan returned home often to help his wife take care of the child. He spent his days off after every practice period with his wife and daughter.

Ngoc hopes the diploma will help her husband find a stable job that can support the family.
