Brushes and oil are two main tools that Nguyen Dam Thuy uses to paint her dream of a green earth.

Part of the My Dream exhibition at the HCM City Fine Arts Museum.

Sixty-nine of her oil and acrylic paintings at the My Dream exhibition are now on display at the HCM City Museum of Fine Arts.

Forty-nine of the paintings were created in the last three years.

Some of the paintings are part of her art project called Journey to Protect Natural Heritages, which UNESCO is supporting between 2016 and 2021.

Another 20 paintings in the exhibit represent work completed over her 20-year career, such as Vietnamese Smile.

The works depict the artist’s memories of beautiful landscapes and a simple life in her hometown, as well as the daily life of the Vietnamese people.

Thủy, a 1993 graduate of HCM City Fine Arts University, often uses different materials such as oil, watercolour, lacquer and ceramics in her art.

The exhibit can be seen at Fine Arts Museum at 97A Pho Duc Chinh Street in District 1 until September 18.
