The trophy will be brought to Hanoi from the Philippines on March 3 and the trophy procession will take place from 9 a.m. on March 4 at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center in Hanoi, said the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF).
FIFA officials will take part in the procession, which is expected to give Vietnamese fans the chance to see with their own eyes the real cup, said a VFF representative.
The 2023 tournament will be held in both Australia and New Zealand from July 20 to August 20.
Vietnam will play in Group E alongside world defending champions USA, world runners-up Netherlands, and winners of a play-off match between Portugal and Cameroon.
Coach Mai Duc Chung and his players will gather from March 12 after the 2023 National Women’s Football Championship ends the first leg. The whole team will prepare for the Paris 2024 Olympic Qualifiers by playing a number of friendly matches with strong teams in March 2023.
They will have a short training trip in Japan in April 2023 and play a few friendly matches before going to Cambodia for the 32nd SEA Games in May 2023. Before flying to New Zealand for the 2023 World Cup, the Vietnamese girls will have a training tour in Germany, where they will play a friendly match with a Spanish team.
